Friendship Farms is a collaboration between Vicki Gallagher, Lydia Allen, Susan
Muenzer, Laura Nilsson, and Emily Nilsson. We are all very passionate about this
project and we're excited about making sustainable agriculture more of a reality in the
Toledo Area. Vicki and Lydia have the most experience growing significant quantities
of organic produce. Vicki works at the 577 Foundation and Lydia works at
Bittersweet Farms. Susan, in addition to being an excellent gardener and landscape
architect, is also an owner of Nilsson's Landscaping and she is able to provide the
land and equipment. Laura and Emily Nilsson are her daughters. Laura is an
employee of Nilsson's Landscaping and Emily owns Custom Exteriors Salon in
Waterville. Friendship Farms will be working with Nilsson's to supply the labor
needed to run the day to day operations of the Farm. We all thought that our mutual
friendship and the access we have to some amazing growing ground provided the
perfect opportunity to start our own CSA. We would love to have you be involved in
our project!
